Can I get ESA and PIP at the same time?

I get ESA at the moment and had an assessment for pip yesterday, mainly because I'm just getting worse and I can barely afford to survive. Can both be claimed simultaneously??

Yes u can claim both at the same time they are thought of as 2 separate benefits. hope that ur PIP assessment went well and u hear from them soon.

It seemed to go ok although the lady seemed like she didn't believe me as I didn't have evidence. I haven't been able to go out or contact people to get any doctors notes but I'm on ESA which I had to provide evidence for so that should really help :/ I told them they can contact my dr who will have all of my notes on file but if they do or not is another question.
