Hello from Yorkshire

Hi Guy's
I have recently separated from my wife, mostly due to me suffering badly from depression and anxiety for most of my adult life, but never doing anything about it.

i am desperately lonely, but am trying to make a fist of my future now as I hate feeling the way I do, trapped and alone. I am tired of the heart pounding in my ears and the cold sweats when I think of the future, I am tired of being afraid to talk to people. I want to find companionship and love again in my life.

I have seen the GP and got the pills and now want to try new ways of getting out of this dark place which has consumed me for years, and driven away the woman I loved dearly. I have found my way here, and hope to find answers myself and maybe offer a little support to those who are struggling through life as I am.

I have never been a talker but I do so much want to change.

You have already achieved one hurdle, by accepting you have depression and anxiety and also by going to see your GP. Well done. Also by talking to people on here with similar problems and experiences will do you a world of good and will help you to try and overcome your problems. Good luck
