if adrenal glands are by your kidneys why go i get a surge of something in my brain?
if the adrenal glands are above your kidneys why do i have these surges in my head?
This used to happen to me whenever I was stressed or anxious. But my naturopath told me to start taking magnesium-calcium pills and it stopped happening!!! I went off the mag-cal pills and it came back, so I really think the mag-cal pills work! Hope this helps someone
I think it was adrenaline build up that caused my night jerks (horrible)...exercising is a good thing to get rid of it (although the last thing I want to do when not sleeping cos of the jerking )
This happens to me, also.
It's not a nice sensation, but it's just how adrenaline affects us.
It eventually passes.
I try not to focus on being aware of it, trying to retrain my brain into its usual pattern of thought.
It sort of feels like [but isn't] having had my brain shocked by electricity and a persistent feeling of intracranial pressure [caused by increased blood flow, muscle tension and stress hormones].
This only happens to me when I am ultra-stressed for long periods and has only happened three times in total in my life.
I am thankful it is sporadic and not chronic, and having been here twice before, I know all these symptoms eventually settle.
I find them enormously unsettling when they happen, but I have learned that you don't dictate to anxiety, you surf its wave until it breaks down and you recover.
