hi there ive been taking cipralex (10mg) now for about 10 months,im thinking of trying for a family a.s.a.p.,is it ok to take this drug during pregnancy?if not is it easy to come off of this and how long does it take to wean yourself off,i know i have to see my gp first but the advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated

With SSRI's like Cipralex , whilst there has been no toxicity proven in animal studies or disasters reported in humans , caution is advised and the doctors will prefer you to get off them first and not be taking them whilst you are conceiving and pregnant.

Wean off slowly - a couple of weeks is often not long enough .
