    post count

    hi all.

i was just wondering, what forums here actually increase your post count... this has been something that's crossed my mind the last few days and i've decided to post for clarification

now what i thought was any forum in the top (about anxiety/ pannic, meds, therapy) those were the only sections that add to your count

but i've recently found that certain posts i've made in misk (and also virtual hugs) add to my count too, (though this seems to have stopped)

also i can't work out why you don't get credited with a post in the games forum.

you could argue- okay, it's a games forum, most replies are going to be 1 word answers and you'll just rack up posts

but you can also say that just as any other section of the forum, games is a part of the site and is just as valuable for a distraction, (their for, you should add to your count for contributing)

i don't get it. can someone explain which sections add to your count?

the thing i'm most worried about is virtual hugs.
in theory, it should. it's part of the support side of things- and when i posted my message about a miserable sunday, it did. now when i post in any of the bottom forums (virtual hugs and anything below that), my post count is frozen

but when i post in the top sections, it adds to it

so confused... not sure how it's meant to be!

    x

    Re: post count

I just checked virtual hugs and it didn't count towards post count but does now. Posts in Birthday wishes etc also didn't count but does now.

Posts in Misc already do count.

The games forums don't count as we found that spammers just posted (as you say) one word answers in there to increase post count so they could a) get access to the chat room and b) post spam links (which requires a post count of 10).

    Hope that clarifies it now
