    Breathing

Does anyone know why your breathing goes all out of kilter when you are very anxious and up tight, I start to hold my breath

    Re: Breathing

Hi there, when we are anxious our nervous system is stimulated which leads to shallow or over breathing. I guess its the 'fight or flight' response that kicks in and sets it all off.

I have found 7/11 breathing helpful (in for 7 out for 11) but there are various breathing techniques you can try.

    Good luck
