Auto replies - do you hate them?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone ever spent absolutely ages writing a long e-mail to someone (like 11 pages) then getting one of those horrid automatic replies saying they weren't there? Did your heart sink to your boots 'cos you were so dependant on the feedback to help with probs?

Don't think I explained this very well - I am referring to the message which says 'Out of Office Automatic Reply. I am out of the office until (whatever date) and will reply on my return'. I know people have their lives to live, but it seems forever until they come back when it feels so urgent to me and I need to share things. Brandy Snap xx

Thats some good points there Nigel, I agree.... I have wanted to discuss things with people before and they have been out of the office for a week, yes its only a week but it seems like forever until they come back lol and even then they are too busy to answer. So perhaps as you said making a nuisance of yourself is the only way to get their attention.
