I've just been watching the Harry Potter films with my Grandson and they really hold up well.
I think they get better with age.
Lovely narratives, lovely dialogue and great relationships, some of them really complex.
Great stuff for kids to have grown up with.
Nothing yet has replaced it.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince 9/10
Dudley Moore: Do you feel you've learnt by your mistakes here?
Peter Cook: I think I have, yes, and I think I can probably repeat them almost perfectly.
just watched Brooklyn
great film 9/10

Oh.. I forgot to rate it Terry. I guess 8 out of 10 honestly. I liked the ending a lot
20th Century Women (2016) with Annette Benning - a great curio of a film with strong strong female performances that dwarf the young lad that the film is based around 8/10
The Viceroys Wife (2017) with Gillian Anderson - great film, sags a bit in the middle though, interesting backdrop of the end of Colonialism 7/10
Dudley Moore: Do you feel you've learnt by your mistakes here?
Peter Cook: I think I have, yes, and I think I can probably repeat them almost perfectly.
The Intruder (2019 Thriller) - Dennis Quaid plays a psycho terrorizing the new couple who bought his old house - 9/10
Their Finest was a solid 7/10 but mainly a bit twee.
Bad Times at the El Royale is another great Jeff Bridges vehicle, he really eats up the screen every scene he is in 8/10, it has a great leftfield plot as well. Some great characters. the tone reminds me a bit of the Legion tv show.
