    nosebleeds?

Daughter has been on medicine for over 2 years. Was on 100 mgs for a month. Had 2 nosebleeds early this week. Yesterday the doctor upped her to 150mgs. She had another nosebleed today.

Could this be a side effect of the medicine? Would a side effect start this long after taking a medicine or is she just dealing with maybe allergies and stuff?

Yeah, many of these SSRI's have warnings about people on blood thinners or combining them with supplements that thin the blood. The latter is not always a problem though, it's just a possibility whereas being on Warfarin for blood thinning is a matter for doctor.

As long as your daughter has no blood thinning related issues, she should be ok but it's really for her GP to say. If she prone to nose bleeds? These meds do make wounds take a bit longer to heal so it could impact on that.

family doctor and neurologist both do not believe the nosebleeds are related to the medicine.

Doc gave her a low dose of Xanax to take if she feels symptoms coming on to hopefully help them not get bad.
