    Face book vs forum

    Hi all

Hope everyone reading this is doing well

This forum like many other imvho is not as busy as 5 years ago .

Found the FB page for NMP ...

I like to be "not known" to my friends / family on lets say ... my life concerns

The FB page is a closed group so i guess that means no one knows who you are unless they register themselves ??? .

Just asking ....i prefer to stick to the forum but just wondered what others think / know ?

    Best wishes

    x

Only members of the Facebook page can see what you put on the page.

If you don't have your settings right then it will show them that you are a member of the group and not what you put on it...... to solve that you just change your settings so no one can see what groups you are in.

    Hi

This is just a courtesy reply to let you know that your post was moved from its original place to a sub-forum that is more relevant to your problem.

This is nothing personal - it just enables us to keep posts about the same problems in the relevant forums so other members with any experience with the issues can find them more easily.

IMHO facebook is only for children.
Add to that the fact that facebook will sell personal info and I'll stay here with the grown ups.

    Re: Face book vs forum

    I'm with you, Phill.

I prefer being able to talk openly because I can be safe in knowing I have a level of anonymity.

My last employer stated in their social media policy that they worked with Facebook to determine staff talking about them in a bad light and several people were booted for it so I have little trust in those types of social media. Even the police and governments struggle to get them to assist them or cut down on crime so I've got the impression they are a bit of a law unto themselves.

Besides what you write here helps more than OP with it being on show.
