Mucus

I have today been to the toilet and noticed my stool was covered in mucus so much so it was floating in the toilet bowl. I've had bowel problems for sometime and this has happened before but have never mentioned it to the Dr. Other symptoms I've been suffering since the beginning of the year:-

Tender stomach
Reduced appetite
Back pain

I'm wondering if anybody has suffered with this and had any diagnoses. I feel like I am constantly going to the Dr's (mainly for my anxiety). Anxiety has reared its ugly head.

i suffer from ibs and ive been on metformin for about 5 weeks for type 2 diabetes ive been away for the weekend and eaten foods i dont normally eat im usually on low carb diet and yesterday and today ive got loose poo and mucus the mucus is different colours brown orange and white ive suffered like this before but it always makes me anxious

Do you also suffer with reduced appetite as a symptom of your IBS or anxiety? I have never been diagnosed with IBS. I'm concerned the Dr is going to ban me from the surgery haha x
