    Withdrawal Symptons

    Hi All

I have been on Escitalopram for about 5 years, 10mg a day.
    For my anxiety disorder.

Anyway when placing an order for a repeat prescription I had a call from one of the doctors at the surgery I use. Never met him before, my regular GP has left the surgery, who I got on with very well and was very supportive.

During this phone call the doctor suggested I should try and come off the Escitalopram and should cut down to half a tablet a day for 2 weeks and then half a tablet every other day until the supply was finished.

Its been a few days since I took the last half, so just wonder what withdrawal symptoms I might feel or experience, difficult to work out as I always seem to struggle this time of the year.

    Thanks all

i actually would have thought you would have felt some withdrawal symptoms already. if you're a few days off a half tablet i don't think much more is going to happen to you!

withdrawal can take up to 2-3 weeks when the drug is fully out of your system, your brain will take a few months to adjust so hang in there
