I don't think it would have absorbed all of it after only 20 mins but cit has a long half life so I shouldn't worry, just take your next dose as normal XX

It takes 4 hours for the 80% peak in blood plasma levels. So, I agree with Nicola.
With it having a half life of 36 hours you can afford to go much longer than many meds. At 72 hours it will still be at 25%, and thats what my med, Duloxetine, is reduced to within a 24 hour cycle.
It takes 5 half lives for a drug to reach <5% (this is a standard model, drugs can differ e.g. Ven is 3 days) so it's not a question of you being free of your med even after the 72 hours (2 X half life).

Thanks for your responses. I'll just count it as a missed dose, which isn't a big deal with citalopram due to the long half life.
