Hi, my husband is a cardiac specialist.
Helpful if he knew age of yourself, ethnicity, blood pressure and some background to why you ask?

He said it is a normal variant and he see it a lot.
If he know symptoms that would be helpful.

    Hello

Thank you so much for your fast reply, I really appreciate it.

My sister was diagnosed with Brugada a few months ago and as it can be genetic, I am awaiting an Ajmaline test to see whether I have it too.

I had an echo and ecg and in my letter from the Cardiologist, it said 12 lead ECG shows sinus rhythm with normal baseline intervals and no evidence of a Brugada phenotype at rest.

There is evidence of T wave inversion in leads V1 through to V3 with biphasic T waves in V4, V5 and V6.

A CMR scan has been arranged to exclude any evidence of structural heart disease. Echocardiogram was reassuring showing essentially a structurally normal heart although there was poor endocardial definition most likely due to body habitus.

I take medication for high blood pressure, it was 143/88 at the exam, heart rate was 100bpm and regular.

I am on Clomipramine for anxiety and depression, but understand this medication should not be taken if you have Brugada.

I have been a wreck since receiving this letter and have googled constantly, ruining mine and my family's Christmas.

I appreciate your kindness and your time in reading this.

    Kind Regards

    Liz xx

If the echo is normal that excludes causes that can be heart attack previously or thickened heart muscle.
It most likely a normal finding for you, all other tests are reassuring.

    Hello

    Thank you.

Would you know if these findings are relevant to the Brugada syndrome? x

    Hello CBear

I just thought it would be polite and let you know everything was fine.

The MRI was clear and the Ajmaline test was negative.

Thank you again for your help.
