    Persistent cough?

I have a persistent cough and have had it for a while. It feels like something is stick in my throat and I have to cough it up but there isn't actually anything there. I have health anxiety specifically about cancer. I'm worried that this is a symptom of throat or possibly lung cancer. I also have a chronic pain in my left shoulder which has since spread to my right shoulder and I'm aware that this is a symptom of cancer. I don't want to go to the doctors about my cough because I feel silly but also because I'm worried they might tell me something I don't want to hear :(

I would go and see the Doc. If (and I am saying IF) it was something bad so much better to spot it early and get going on a resolution.

However, I hd similar symptoms and convinced myself, no I knew I had throat cancer. Saw the Doc, they had a look down my throat with a camera and indetified a sore spot due to acid reflux. On pills for this now and it's all sorted.
