    Citalopram - new meds

    Hi all

About 8 days in to 10mg daily dose.

Before this, I had problems on propranolol...so we stopped that.

I had about 4-5 weeks off meds and felt normal...best I've felt in a while physically, but low low moods.

So, the GP thinks citalopram should help.

My mood isn't as bad, but boy are these side effects kicking in...never had some of these:

    - Lack of appetite
    - Trembling in the AM before I take it
    - Pins and needles in the night (nothing major)
    - Worrying (probably due to physical symptoms)
    - Floaty odd feeling

It calms (usually after I take the tablet) but is this usual?

It is just odd....I don't like it. But I am only 8 days in.

    Cheers

Early days, the side effects can be very strange at this point, they should pass though after a few more weeks, and hopefully by week 6 you'll be feeling the benefits of them. Stick with it
