I was always disappointed that Life on Mars didn't get a third series. It was always the plan but John Simm asked to be written out at the end of Series Two.

It's such a brilliant concept. My only concern is that LOM and A2A were such massive successes that this has to be something really special to be able to compete, but John Simm reckons it's really good with lots of car chases and time travelling. I will be interested to see what they do with Gene Hunt in the alternate 'now'.

I think LOM was the stand out show for me because of the 70s era. All very nostalgic. Sam was 4 in 1973, I was 3. The cast is superb and it sounds like all the original cast are coming back. Did you know that Marshall Lancaster (Chris) has his own plastering business?

I liked what they did in A2A where you got the back story on Shaz, Ray and Chris. I would have liked them to have done that with Annie, but who knows, maybe they will do that in Lazarus?

I've actually lost count of the times I've watched these shows now but there always seems to be a little detail that crops up? I'm in the middle of LOM series one this week.

Anything with time travel attracts my attention nora, especially if it's a period of when I was a part of it.
They were all good actors in both shows. Loved looking at what the fashions back then, not that I pay much attention to it these days.
I used to be an avid watcher of Dr Who but its completely lost it's way for me. But I do enjoy the occasional original star trek.

Mr.D was a massive Dr. Who fan but Jodie Whittaker (plus the scripts) ruined it for him. She was always too manic. Too late now but Patricia Routledge would have made a good Dr…..Hyacinth Bucket in the tardis.

    Sorry, what now?

Hyacinth Bucket (sorry, Bouquet) giving candlelight suppers in the Tardis? (using the Royal Doulton with the hand-painted periwinkles, of course)

    Lol nora
I have to agree with Mr D Darksky. Jodie didn't cut it for me added with weak writing.

I'm going to have a look at the new Leonardo starting on Saturday at 9pm on the drama channel.

The Outlaws - brilliant! Just finished 2nd series.

The Sewing Bee - always makes me want to get more creative.

The Bake Off The Professionals - watching cakes crash and burn after slogging hours over a masterpiece doesn't fill me with delight and end up feeling anxious for the contestants.

Celebrity Antiques Roadshow and Antiques Roadshow - repeats, repeats, repeats!

Bargain Brits in the Sun - strangely addictive.

Springwatch - just finished. Had to look away too often when prey was caught and close ups of divulging a cute animal, normally when I'm having my dinner. But enjoyed the mindfulness moments and newborn in the nests.

I am watching The Flight Attendant series 1 on Sky.

Also, catching up BGT, I’m a few weeks behind.

About to start “The Summer I turned pretty” on Prime.

    There’s something else but I can’t remember…
