Mezzanine, living in Germany at the moment...we move between here and the UK with my hubby's job, I can no longer get British telly, they changed the satellite frequency back in 2014 and there isn't a dish big enough to receive it. Netflix and youtube are my lifeline here, and because we've got a Smart tv I can watch youtube on the telly instead of the laptop. Alot of what they show on netflix is at least 6 months behind or longer, but I don't mind...it's like catching up with old friends

    Back to 10 Rillington Place:
Tim Roth gives a very good portrayal of the (seemingly) ineffectual but manipulative Christie, whose outward appearance was one of respectability. I find this mini-series creepier than the Richard Attenborough film.
The whole house & street exude evil.

Have you watched the one with Douglas Henshall in? I think it's called Second Sight? I saw the first part but have recorded the second.

I know how to post pics but I ain't posting any of his site!

Hopefully it will be on again soon?

Ted was a very different kind of bear. There is a second one, I've only seen first so far. Funny film, very rude.

I couldn't tell what the women were saying. I was always taught it was rude to talk with your mouth full.

Love Actually is a good film. I have the DVD. That is a bit rude. (not that I mind)

Only thought there was one Ted film.

If I can watch Crank I can watch anything!!!

Re: What TV shows are you watching right now?

For the last few weeks I've been binge watching The Middle. It portrays family dysfunction at it's funniest. The parents are lazy but loving. The kids vary from cool to geek but my favourite is 'Brick' who is known for being a 'freaky little dude'. Mostly I laugh but there is always some philosophical stuff in there too and the other day I watched the one where Brick's anxiety goes orbital because of things he hears on the news. He becomes afraid of everything and his parents become worried so it's back to the shrink time. Then one day Brick's anxiety goes away and when his parents ask what's changed he tells them that he's no longer afraid because he's found a new way of looking at things.

    Then he reads them this..

"You see this goblet?" asks Achaan Chaa, the Thai meditation master. "For me this glass is already broken. I enjoy it; I drink out of it. It holds my water admirably, sometimes even reflecting the sun in beautiful patterns. If I should tap it, it has a lovely ring to it. But when I put this glass on the shelf and the wind knocks it over or my elbow brushes it off the table and it falls to the ground and shatters, I say, 'Of course.' When I understand that the glass is already broken, every moment with it is precious."

Not many sitcoms give me goosebumps but this one did.
