The GP does not feel it is a first or second line treatment for anxiety. Who knows, it could well be down to the cost implications which I believe are in excess of £60 per month for most patients.

To be honest, if the Propanalol works then I don't mind that I haven't been given the Pregabilin. The Propanalol does have the advantage my being able to stop and start as and when necessary and of course I have to reassurance that is is keeping a check on my blood pressure.

If it doesn't work, then I shall go back and perhaps he might consider the pregabalin.
