    Re: Reading

I just read Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman and LOVED it.

I'm currently reading a book my husband can't stop talking about called Save the Cat! Writes a Novel. It's actually a how-to on story writing, but FASCINATING. It's based on the original Save the Cat! books about writing screenplays and goes through this outline (called a beat sheet) that basically every good story (book or movie) follows, and then breaks down the 10 main genres of stories (not the typical ones you'd think of) and their key components. It's so incredibly interesting and make reading and watching movies even more fun because you can sort of pick them apart and find all these pieces. I highly recommend it for anyone, but definitely anyone who has ever thought about writing a book!

And, I also just started The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah.

Me too!! I was sad when the book ended. I want to know so much more about what happens to her!

Me too! That is clearly a sign of an excellent book.

    Re: Reading

I find that in navigating my condition I find at times I cant read, at the moment I can thankfully but its horrible when I cant

Currently im reading tons of comic books graphic novels which are really helping as well as really enjoying the Robin Hobb Farseer trilogy, a great set of novels that build to agreat climax and draw some fantastic characters along the way

Graphic Novels recently that I would champion with you are
ex Machina - ex Superhero becomes a Mayor, great ideas and escapades
Astro City - Fantastic superhero world building away from the DC & Marvel tropes
Drifter - SF with a western tinge
Nailbiter - Serial Killer stories, based on a town that produces more than its fair share

I just started reading an absolutely absurd but hilarious book called Hope Never Dies. No joke, it's like a fan fiction mystery novel about Joe Biden and Obama solving a murder mystery revolving around the death of one of Biden's Amtrak train conductor friends. It's told with Biden as the first person narrator and it is all kinds of amazing.

It's really fun. It's written by a satyrical writer. I just finished up The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, which was so intense, so I needed something absurd!
