Hello all,
I posted the other month about my symptoms. Basically diarrhea for 6 months with little amounts of blood. Originally thought to be mild IBS. Eventually I did a colonoscopy and there was very mild inflammation. Doctor told me not to worry about it and it should go away in a few months. 2 days later, biopsies came back showing some ill formed granulomas in the colon which point to Crohn's Disease. My GI said that it is a little weird, but he doesn't think it is CD still.
Got a 2nd opinion and that doctor agreed. Got a 3rd opinion and that doctor scared the lights out of me. He told me he thinks it could be Crohn's. I even told him i have a lot of health anxiety and to be gentle, but he proceeded to scare me with some stories. He told me it was as mild as it could be but I need to do something about it so it doesn't get worse.
I have now been in limbo about this. What is someone supposed to do with 2/3 doctors tell you one thing, and then another tells you the complete opposite?
I can't keep spending money and time on asking more doctors. Im exhausted. It is hard to function with all this anxiety about having this disease. Now all i do is google the disease and see horrible things.I was told that I can wait a few months and see if it goes away and it HAS been getting better, but I kinda think it is Crohn's. The scary doctor convinced me in a way. Maybe we only like to believe the bad stuff we hear and read?
Any thoughts on any of this? Any positive thoughts on Crohns? My anxiety symptoms are FAR worse then the possible Crohn's.
