worried about heart rate

Hi I currently have a viral infection with temperature, aches, sore throat and a bad cough since this started on Tuesday my heart rate has been elevated it's normally at rest 68- 75 but it seems to be sitting around 95- 100 has been as high as 125 and I am not even doing anything just resting should I been worried or is it the temperature causing it I also feel anxious and keep checking it all the time which isn't helping,should I be worried about this any advice would be great thanks x

Viral infections and fevers always always increase your heartrate- its natures way. I remember years ago with a flu bug having a racing heart and rushing to the Dr's and he was like - so- this is totally nomral and will slow down once you have fought off the virus.

So unpleasant but occuring with a fever/viral infection perfectly normal.
