    Fainting fear and anaesthetic

I have to get my wisdom teeth out. I'll be relieved when they're gone but I'm worried about the general anaesthetic because I have a phobia about fainting and was wondering do you FEEL yourself losing consciousness?

I can relate to you kind of, I myself am scared of anesthesia and fainting. The effects of the anesthesia, am I going to be sick, etc. From what I can remember when I had general anesthesia when I was a kid, you're awake one second then next you're waking up.
