Blood test results scared

Got my blood test results back today showed I was moderately anaemic my Hb was 8.4. but they told me that my platelet count is also elevated, according to what ive read that can happen with iron deficiency anaemia. but platelets are for clotting so does this mean I could get clots around my body now I'm really worried about this. anyone else ever get those results. please help

Im sure its all ok or i would have thought they wouldnt have given u the results over the phone if anything was wrong.
Im the worst for looking things up ect but try not too

Thankyou, I'm trying not worry until I speak to dr tomorrow. I knew I was anaemic because of symptoms but wasn't expecting the other thing. I find that when I know why something is happening I worry less as long as its treatable of course.

did you phone and speak to your doc? hope you feel better now you have spoken to them

spoke to my doctor he has put me on ferrous fumerate for 4 months.
