Suffer from erectile dysfunction while on Citalopram?

Hello

I am a 25 year old male. I have been on Citalopram for 6 weeks. It has been amazing at controlling my problem with anxiety. This is one problem though, I have started to suffer from erectile dysfunction. It takes me around an hour to masturbate while on this medication, before it took 15-20 mins. I am not in a relationship so have no had intercourse during the last 6 weeks, but I think it would be more or less impossible for me on this medication.

Can anyone recommend any alternative medication to help with anxiety, so that I don't suffer with this horrible side effect.. I am on 20 of Citalopram.

Hi Mat, this is a common side effect from what I've read. I wouldn't know what other medication to try but I have read other posts from guys that have swapped to something else due to this problem so it might be worth putting something in the search box and seeing what comes up or go back through posts and look at the titles for something similar. Jemma x
