pain in stomach

i know it is probably nothing, but i have this sharp pain that comes and goes on the lower left side of my stomach and lower back. i had a period about 2 weeks ago and i've had the pain for a week or so.
last year i had an ectopic pregnancy on the other side. i put off going to the dr's because i thought they would think i was over reacting when i bled a bit and had stomach pains (i had a coil fitted and so had no idea i was pregnant). in the end i went to the dr's who sent me away despite being very ill because they saw my records and saw that i had been treated for health anxiety in the past. that same day i was rushed to a&e, had lost my right fallopian tube.
is this discomfort all in my mind? any ideas? i know when i focus on a particular part of my body i feel pain there more frequently. i just want to be rational about it!
