Rioblu - have you started on Sertraline, if so at what dose. Or has the GP prescribed Sertraline and you are concerned about possible side effects ?
Hi I took sertraline last year for a while the side effects I had were tingling, increased anxiety and a upset stomach lost a lot of weight first few weeks, however this passed quickly and the tablets were a great help, came of them in Jan as didn't feel they were working anymore and felt they were making me gain weight far more then what I'd lost at the start of taking them , didn't really suffer withdrawals not like I was expecting anyway
Controlled withdrawal is totally fine so don't let that put you off taking them.
However if you stop cold turkey you will have withdrawal symptoms but the secret is to taper off gradually.
Try not to listen to all the horror stories, people are more inclined to report adverse reactions than they they are to post that they have had no problems. Likewise I bet most of the bad reports regarding withdrawal are from people who have stopped or reduced their dose too quickly.
ps just to let you know that I have moved your post to a forum set up to discuss this med.

tongue rolling. not interested in food, headaches, BACK ACHE, neck ache the feeling when you've slept with your neck funny but you haven't...
low mood cba to do anything things I usually love
the drug is not a sedative as in put you to sleep but I would lay in bed till 11am im usually up at 9am
all the above is now passing and im starting to feel better
Headaches, dizziness, nausea. Extremely dry mouth and nose. Just an overall general ill feeling.
It subsides though, but takes quite a long time. Especially if you are increasing ever so often.
