I would have thought so, but try to think rationally if you can that you went to the GP for answers as to what was causing your pain...so isn't it better to know if there is an issue than not, so you can get it resolved, or even better, find out that there is nothing dodgy going on?
I know it is daunting and scary, but moving forward is the only way with stuff like this, as otherwise you will just stew about what is going on, hon. x

Thank you, sorry carried away and posted twice! I went with right sided stomach pain sometimes high sometimes low, no change in bowels so didn't think it could be IBS. Some indigestion type symptoms and quite windy.
