It does really grate on me when he growls out minister. Sounds like some drunk in the town centre.

It's another old world remnant too. He gets a free apartment (he made loads of cash selling his house) and can't be challenged as a MP in his constituency whilst Speaker. His constituents are stuck with him until he decides to leave or gets the boot. That's not fair on them and just another political gravy train...and at the end the convention is you get promoted to the House of Lords and more cash!

I hope you didn't tune in to the session where they were giving honouring him. They must have needed some seriously strong breath mints for some MP's. One was calling him a hero and a stand out in over 600 years! Julian Clary would have been impressed by that level of rimming

Yeah, it seems like they set such a high fee knowing ITV will turn them down so they don't look like they don't want to do it. Farage was quoted as asking for the same figure a while back, I think. They could get all politicians in and we could remain it "I'm A Celebrity Leave Them In There" (wouldn't that be bad though, wishing it on Australia? )

Yes, it certainly is. She isn't fighting to stay in the EU for we plebs, she's about the money and the Remain Elites as opposed to the Leave Elites. She got caught out lying about why she was getting involved early on anyway.

She founded the website above and it's interesting it is misleading people away from voting Labour. Labour are currently socialist...the enemy of all such elitist money people

She does get a lot of hate though and that's wrong. Sticking your head above the parapet always does it but add a) being black and a woman (bound to upset the racists and misogynists) and b) wealthy & posh telling many working class people they are wrong or uneducated in their vote, and you are bound to be getting some stick from lots of quarters.
