Dudley Moore: Do you feel you've learnt by your mistakes here?
Peter Cook: I think I have, yes, and I think I can probably repeat them almost perfectly.
As long as it's not a US style Constitution then, where they think they can say anything without recourse no matter how awful, can't change it to stop them shooting their children and think they still need militias to stop the government.

Is Boris playing fast & loose because he has no opposition? He's leading in the polls and Labour have a wishy washy leader who can't get in despite past weak leaders like May.

Absolutely. May would have been toast.
Corbyn has written to the Queen to voice his disgust. Would he want her to reject the government? I thought he was all up for socialism?
It will be interesting to watch the polls over the next few weeks. If Boris is still out ahead they are really in for trouble and he will feel more emboldened. He's quite clearly been touring the country playing it like a GE campaign.

So Swinson lied about discussing the caretaker government being ran by Clarke or Harmon since both of them denied they were contacted. That's a bit of a bad start as new leader then

The QC for Cherry's case against Johnson wanted the judge to rule BoJo should state on oath why he has done this. Nice try but you will never get that...surely a dangerous precident to set for all future MP's to have to state their reasons for decisions?
As one Supreme Court judge pointed out, they are there to rule on whether something is lawful and not whether the reasoning behind it is right.
But the click bait of the media was bad. The Guardian had a headline that the legal challenge has failed when it's really that the judge decided it better to deal with it as a whole in one case and brought it all forward.
Interesting point from Gordon Brown that Macro has said he is willing to back off on his hard line stance that the extension was only 6 months. This means France backs off and falls inline with what Merkel was fine with, what Tusk suggested and what the incoming Commission President said. It would make sense with the UK having a leadership change anyway but both sides will be flogging it as a success; the EU pull the rug from under BoJo and now he can't justify No Deal no matter what on 31/10 whilst saying he wants a deal if he refuses an extension and the UK will say the EU are blinking in light of BoJo's hard line stance.

Major joins Gina Miller (And her mysterious backers ) in challenging BoJo in court:

That first pic seems like Major is bradding about the size of something else to me
Hilarious that Tom Watson says stuff like this. This is the man who is very silent on how he named a fellow MP as a sexual abuser under Parliamentary Privilege yet the claimant has now gone to jail for a very long time for claims of fraud, deception, fabrication and also being an active paedophile (something he actually blamed on his own son to try to get away with it). We await your apologies, Watson. He is quite a nasty piece of work, his recent attack on Formby when he knew she was having her cancer treatment showed a side to him.
If the government are looking for a precedent if it comes to proroguing being used for dubious reasons they can present a certain John Major PM as Exhibit A:
