I've been taking Sertraline since February. I have had minimal side effects with this medication, which I'm happy with. However, when I got my most recent set of tablets, they gave me a different brand/manufacturer (Accord). Since taking this new brand, I've had exceptionally bad diarrhoea and stomach gurgling/noises and faint nausea.
Can you experience new side effects by simply changing the manufacturer/brand of an anti-depressant?

I believe so, many would disagree though. Including my Dr who had never heard of anyone having nausea as a side effect of sertraline!!!!Originally Posted by Jabberwoxx
I only go to Morrisons as they have a deal with lustral so only keep that brand. They ran out twice tho and on the different brand I get severe headaches for the first couple of weeks on them tho I seem to sleep better and dream less for some reason!

I found that one called Sertra 50 isn't as effective so now I don't use the chemist that stocks that one

I literally changed brands Saturday and had three days from hell!! I'm 11 weeks on and it's happend twice.
I ask myself if reading that this could happen on here is the reason it has??

Partially yes but surely I cant immagine headaches?! They have the same ingredients but maybe different addatives that dont agree with some
