    detached advice help

Is it common to feel detached from your body 24/7? Will be coming up 6 weeks with Meds at the end of this week and still feeling constant floating sensation like I am not in my body and I can't feel anything ie any emotions. I do t feel as anxious now but concerned that this sensation is persisting! I try to distract as much as possible but the sensation is constantly there!! help

If you're upset about it you are feeling an emotion!
What sort of underlying problem do you have? Depression? Anxiety? OCD?
    What medication are you on?

    Re: detached advice help

Anxiety and derealisation are a pair of *******s! They go hand in hand and feed off each other. I've never been on seroxat- I've been on sertraline and citalopram and both have worked for me. Six weeks is still relatively early and the derealisation is one of the
Last symptoms to go with anxiety I find. Speak to your
GP about maybe switching medication and complete a full course of cbt. Avoid coffee and try to get some exercise to burn off the adrenaline and cortisol.
It will pass- just hang in there!
