    Why do I feel worse?

Day 8 of 20mg of Citalopram, feeling a bit weepy & more anxious begining to wish I had never started the tablets. Does it get better?

It's still early days. Hopefully things will settle in a week or so? It does get better. Just take one day at a time.

Post a thread for support on the Cit board as there is a very supportive regular crowd of people posting on there. You will get much less of a response on this board.

Cit reaches it's steady state at just under 8 days which just means as much going in as going out, stability in your blood plasma. For some this can mean it feels worse for a time but others have that in the first week too or instead when it is building up.

If you started straight on 20mg this can be too harsh for some and so doctors start at 10mg and build up to prevent the side effects being quite as harsh.
