Can anybody relate to this? I get lots of anxiety and panic day to day is the hunger anxiety?

They say distract but that burns up more energy.

    Hi Phil

Anxiety can take it out of you..in an anxious state our bodies go through hell using up all the energy we have leaving us fatigued so your hunger is just your body wanting food for the energy it's just lost during anxiety..

Or are you saying the lethargic feeling you get when hungry is mistaken for anxiety? I've done this then had a good meal and was fine.. but i got angry that my anxiety had got me that bad that i thought my body crying out for food was the start of a panic attack! Could be sugar levels dropped etc..

Hope this was some help to you Phil

I really relate to this! I didn't realise anyone else felt angry when they mistake crying out for food as the start of a panic attack. I do believe its the sugar levels. The light headed feeling and for me, a weakness in my arms and legs - they're both symptoms of hunger and anxiety so I do confuse them sometimes. But yeah, the tenseness I feel when I'm anxious can really take it out of me and then I feel like I need to replace energy with food.

Sometimes I have no appetite but last few days I have felt a hunger feeling even after eating. Could this be anxiety playing up?
