Ian, what you're going through is normal. It's not going to drive you insane. However, it is absolutely vital that you get out of this state as you're not making it any better by continuing to focus on the anxiety. Please try and do something productive, something that'll take your mind off things.

This could reduce in intensity as the Ven side effects end. SNRI's can ramp up anxiety, as I found out, and it was a hard experience. Until they reduced, there was nothing that seemed to help.
Do what you can.
