Hi
Maybe I'll try it this way.
Does anybody use a low dose of Mirtazapine and does it help you sleep?
Desperate for feedback as I see doc on Friday morning and would like to go in with a positive attitude if possible.
Thanks

Hi Mugs, I've recently started on Mirtazipine and yes, it makes me sleep, and sleep and sleep. It does give you a 'hangover' in the mornings but that might ease with time - I've only been taking a week or so.
Hi Mugs
I've been on mirtazapine 15mg since February. I sleep well and I don't feel hungover. Sometimes I've felt lethargic but I don't think that's the drug.
However I'm now feeling quite down, so seriously thinking I should up the dose to 30mg. I tried upping to 22.5 but that didn't agree, though very possibly I didn't give it long enough.
Problem is when you're down it affects the recovery. I've been taking it for anxiety.
Sorry I can't be more helpful!
Hi
Well the doctor would not re-start me on Mirtazapine because of what it did to my cholesterol. Instead he started me on a low dose of Trazodone.
It has helped me sleep better, still wake often but able to return to sleep.
I have not woke with awful anxiety.
My doc said Trazodone can help with anxiety too.
I hope it does.
If it helps with anxiety does anybody know how long it takes?
Thanks
Mugs
