    I do this all the time as well as clenching my jaw which is annoying xx

    Yawning is a common symptom of anxiety. Anxiety causes you to hyperventilate, your body then feels like it's not getting a full breath, so it tries to yawn. Yawning expands the rib cage and sends a signal to your brain that you got a full breath. Yawning tells your body to relax.

    That certainly sounds like a reasonable explanation, Annie.

    I would also add that the thing about being tired/fatigued and anxiety is that they feed off one another. The more anxious we are the less we sleep and the less we sleep the more anxious we are. It really is a VICIOUS cycle.
