fibroids possible hysterectomy

well my biggest fears have been tested to the limits this week . i have been for a scan wont go into to much detail but i have fibroids, i have to have another scan on thursday with a camrera to look at my overies and my mind at the minute is racing. i have ben told i have fibroids, but since i have had the diagnosis from the radiographer my mind has gone into overdrive. my head is spinning, heart racing, dizzyness.

my biggest fear is hospitals and the thought of having to go into hospital has sent me into panic mode. the thought of an operation is just giving me sleepless nghts and dont know how im going to get through this.

any adivce would be greatly appreiated. xxx

Hi. I suffered with very heavy periods due to fibroids and uterine polyps For Years.
I was VERY anaemic but wouldn't go into hospital because I was agoraphobic.
It got so bad that my GP said I would either have to get the polyps removed or a blood transfusion either way it meant hospital
I got the polyps removed. Which helped. Still had the fibroids tho.
There is a new procedure that they can block the blood vessels that feed the fibroid and so shrink it completely, rather than surgery to remove it.

Also, I was near menopause, and without oestrogen, fibroids shrink o their own.

I'm agoraphobic, it was very hard for me to go into hospital, but in the end I had no option.
