Yes, the left mobilise more. I think that's because protest is more one of their tools. And I think people more to the right view protest in a derogatory way.

Violent protest is more the fringes of either side. I regard them nutters on both sides. And I view them equally as cowardly bully types because they will target the least likely to harm them.

More widespread violence takes a lot to start it. The miners strikes and poll riots spring to mind.

Yeah that's kind of my point Terry. When the right hits the street (and I'm not referring to the fringe) it's not going to be because they lost an election or because a president signed an executive order they didn't agree with...they've already been through that without incident with Obama. It will be because they feel the only thing left they can do is fight. And they will.

I mean check out this left wing magazine cover. And people are afraid of the right? Huh?

Magazines with images like that are little better than the more direct way The Daily Mail ran the judges as "enemies of the people".

I find the left tend to take this sneaky hint hint approach. Trump is a target for people so paint a target on him, a little hint hint about a gunshot. If anyone says it's inappropriate, claim it wasn't meant to be taken that way. This is why we need regulatory bodies to make a decision on what is inappropriate.

    Hey Dave,

Did you see this pop up about the Stoke Central by election?

    http://www.itv.com/news/2017-02-16/s...or-go-to-hell/

I think it's obvious from the wording that this was limited to a section of the Asian community. Very naughty of Labour! No wonder the LibDem's complained given their candidate. It seems they are very worried about Labour losing votes to multiple candidates allowing UKIP to sneak through.

They face that issue everywhere under Corbyn.

It's simple really, if you are so concerned about your world - agree to pay more tax..

If we all agreed to a 1% across the board tax increase, how much better off would our crumbling NHS be?

Yet add that increase and everyone is howling about having less money. That's less money to spend on crap we really don't need. Need vs want.

If you lower your corporate tax rates, you invite more business but sacrifice social spending. The question is whether the increased business you attract overtakes the shortfall that causes.

Couldn't concerned Americans opt to pay more green tax that is specifically spent on climate change policy? If citizens howl about it, they obviously aren't that committed. But then we aren't talking the smaller demographic who are willing to put their money into it. I wonder if we could volunteer to pay extra? The same with our NHS? The ball is firmly in or moral court then.
