I drove all the way to my parents :-)

    Hi

Thought i'd share my success. I haven't driven any distance at all since i had a panic attack on my way to my parents in Sept, and another one getting home again.

I cracked up on the M4 at Membry on way down, when stuck behind accident in long queue of traffic, and couldn't escape, i nearly got out and left my car in the middle lane, it was so bad! then on way back i cracked at reading, and was in a real mess by the time i got to my house, 40 min later.

So since then, my parents have come and collected me when i've gone home to Bristol - which is great, cos they both disabled and over 70.

Today. I drove all the way to Bristol - 120 miles, and went through the town where my work is, which i haven't done since i got sick!

Ok so it was in my parents car, and they were with me, but i did it. It was tough, but i got through, without panicking

So i'm really chuffed with myself! And i get to drive back next friday in their brand new car!!!

Thought i'd share my success - i can do it

You have every right to feel massively chuffed - that was brilliant!

    Hey, well done you!

I am not up to driving long distances, and opt for the train instead for such a journey.

    Keep it up!

    What a brilliant achievement
I never realised until coming on this site how many people have phobias about driving.
Gail you have done so well to drive that far, you should feel so proud of yourself.

    Take care

Well done Freaky Chick. Keep taking steps forward like that and it will get easier as you become more comfortable about doing it.

    You are doing well
