How long does Colofac take to work?

I'm having quite a bad flare up of IBS. I have Colofac and took my first one this morning. It didn't really help. I've had horrible pain all day. Just wanted to stay in bed with a hot water bottle.

Do you have to take it regularly for a while before it actually helps?

Anyone else taking this or have any experience with Mebeverine?

I've been prescribed it in the past but it didn't really do much. The hot water bottle treatment is probably more effective for me.

When you're in the midst of high anxiety I don't think meds work too well personally but hopefully others will have had more success..

Just to let those who are taking this med that on my second day it's starting to work.
Woke up to more pain, took a Colofac (mebeverine) and about half an hour later I felt some relief. Of course this has lessened my anxiety which in turn has helped tremendously.
