    Anxiety or phantom smells?

I think I have a strong sense of smell in general. I've worried about smells that I've later had explanation for. I can smell paint at work now and again but the office below is being done out and have builders in for months. However today an old man behind me stunk of chewing tobacco and i am sure the smell has followed me home. Now I don't know if I can actually smell it or I think I can. Does that make sense? Whether me worrying about it is causing me to recollect the scent?
