Racing heart again

I have had this for a few hours now and I don't know what started it this time! My hear has been feeling a lot better recently - at least I haven't been obsessing about it.

I am 18 weeks pregnant and have also been having problems with shallow breathing and then gasping for breath (seems I have forgotten how to breathe properly!) I have also had a rotten cold over the last couple of weeks which has developed into a chesty cough and awful sinus pain. The doctor has prescibed becatide which I have taken on several occasions before. I know all these things are probably a contributing factor but I can't help stressing that there is something wrong with my heart.

It is beating between 80 and 90 at the moment but a few hours ago, it was 120 and I was only sitting on the sofa!

Can anyone offer me any reassurance please!!!

Hey Jo,

I hope things have calmed down by the time you read this....your breathing definitly sounds like anxiety, although could the becatide be making your heart go faster? I know ventolin can cause that.

My heart always races for no apparant reason randomly and I get so worried about it and then it gets faster...its all anxiety!
