I am terrified of taking my blood pressure. I try to get the courage to do it, but I get so anxious which makes it high.

Hi Rgr! What is it about having your blood pressure taken makes you anxious? Is it the whole process, or the cuff tightening on your arm or the result ie that the reading will be high? Tracy

Has your doctor asked you to check your blood pressure at home? If not, you really don't need to be doing it, it can become a habit! And as you've seen, anxiety can make it higher than it normally would be.
