    Words of hope

I hope that this message may give at least 1 person hope who may be in a dark place right now. For many years I was on fluoxetine to control my anxiety. It worked very well. 2 months ago I stupidly came off the tablets. Then, 2 weeks ago my anxiety hit me like a tonne of bricks. I had forgotten how awful it felt and how desperate it was. I have been back on the fluoxetine for 2 weeks now and I can feel myself turning the corner. I am still anxious but it's not overwhelming and I know I will get better day by day. Things often get worse before they get better on these tablets too. Hang on in there.

Thanks for your encouraging words, and I'm so pleased you are starting to feel better.

I've been on citalopram for 4.5 months now, 3 months on 10mg and 6 weeks on 20. I was feeling really good for the past 10 days but now I've gone back downhill and I'm so upset. I'm wondering if I'm ever going to get over this but your words have given me hope x

Don't feel down. We all have bad days, mental health issues or not. Just hold onto those good days and believe it will happen again xx
