Tolerance to the antihistamine effect (tiredness and feeling spaced out) is reported as occurring within 7 - 10 days. That was my experience, and seems to be that of most of the posts I have seen.

Good wil persevere then. Day two and woke groggy again, couple hours later not feeling tired, but but spaced out still. Don't feel anxious with is a plus though. Frustrated, just need be patient I guess

Good news, after just two mornings the morning grogginess has gone! when it ake the pill at night I am sleeping within about an hour though, so that's good too. Happy days....for now anyway

Good to hear that everything went well with starting the Mirt. I find it very good for sleep, the first 5 or so days it was good for my anxiety, but then it returned. I was only on 7.5mg to start with and am now on 15. I think it may have decreased anxiety some after a few weeks, but it is hard to tell as I have been changing around other meds at the same time.
