    ultrasound results- your input please!

For those of you who dont know me yet, i keep posting here about my severe HA and specifically in reference to my breast. With many ultrasounds, biopsies at the age of 27 only. Now i couldnt find reassurance in any breast exam, not even if it was done by me ob/gyn 3 weeks ago. so i asked for an ultrasound even though i didnt feel any lumps at all. i went yesterday and expected just to have it done quickly and the technician would usually tell me everything looks normal and confirm it with radiologist later. this time however, she looked and i saw she was concentrating on something. needless to say i PANICKEDDDDDD! i hate doing further testing and going to breast specialists. this increases my HA tremendously. Anyway, after she was done, i asked her what she was looking at cuz im drop dead nervous. she looked at me weird and said, what makes you think its anything abnormal, so i told her u never usually look so long. she wasn't very nice and told me there are many normal things they look at during an ultrasound. but i shouldn't worry cuz it was only a cyst. I was shocked! i dont even feel a thing at the place where she saw a tiny cyst (.03 cm) but she told me its very common especially before your period. Now, im expecting my period to come any day by now...
when i called my doctor for results, he just told me everything is normal. he didnt even bother telling me about cyst, when i asked him, he said its common and on the report it sais benign.
my question now is, have any of you ever had normal ultrasounds with a cyst? did you do any following up? ( my doctor said i dont have to do a thing) did an ultrasound ever reveal a cyst without u feeling it?
as i have severe HA, im worried that maybe its a mass and they made mistake?
please share your experience if you ever had s/t like this. im so nervous and confused.

If your cyst was only 0.3cm I'd be more shocked if you could feel it to be honest. That's probably the size of a seed. They can tell the difference between a mass and a cyst.

I know health anxiety is very hard to deal with, but you've been told it's benign. You need to try to move on from this.

All I read in your post is good news. You have nothing to be worried about.

I had an ultrasound and there was an incidental finding of two simple cysts, one on each ovary, they were mentioned briefly by the sonographer but on the report my GP received my results were normal. Did worry me at the time but it was explained that cysts are very common and usually disappear on their own. Unless they are very large they generally leave them alone. They can tell the difference between masses, and different kinds of cysts such as complex and simple ones. I never had a follow up regarding my cysts but when I had an ultrasound for an unrelated matter a few months later, they had both disappeared. I would be reassured that your results are normal.

thank you all for your replies..
i forgot to mention that the sonographer had mentioned something about a shadow, but then proceeded to tell me everything looks normal.
My doctor when he called me, just mentioned that everything is normal. only when i asked him about the cyst did he tell me, yes, but nothing to worry about.
i forgot about the shadow. what does that mean?
    im concerned again...

I would be happy with both the Doctor and the sonographer telling you everything is normal.

After an ultrasound of my womb some years ago I was told I have a small cyst on one of my ovaries, it hasn't ever bothered me or given me any pain and the doctors didn't seem worried by it. Likely it's connected to hormones just as yours seems to be.
