Recovering from very bad anxiety in the short term

    Hi,

I was just wondering whether other people suffered after the anxiety has passed? I had a job interview this morning, and was in really quite a bad state from when I woke up, I nearly just didn't go at all. I managed it, and feel like I should feel quite good - it went well, and I did it despite the anxiety. But I just feel exhausted, and almost ill, is this just because of the strain that level of anxiety puts on your body? I experience anxiety daily, but this was considerably worse than my typical levels. Any tips to feel better after a big anxious event like this?

Congratulate yourself for not letting the anxiety win and make some time for yourself. General relaxation and mindfullness techniques can help. Just anything that you know that puts you in a good place.

For example, I'll go for a run or a bike ride.
