Anyone get panic attacks from stomach aches?

I have a phobia of stomach aches because whenever I get one, I suddenly feel a panic attack coming on. Even when I'm not anxious and just need to do my business. The ache in my stomach triggers a panic attack and I get really hot and sweaty, shake, and feel a sense of dread to the point where I feel like crying because the pain won't go away.

I feel silly because I'm an adult, but I get the worst panic attacks when I get a stomach ache.

Anyone else get this?

Me too! It's so strange. I've had it all my life even as a child. I wonder if my bowels press against a nerve that affects my emotions? The panic attack subsides as soon as the stomach ache is gone and I've done my business.

It somehow feels like you getting a hot flush too with it and its more of an excited stomach for me......

Yeah it's gives me a hot flush with a sense of dread like this pain will never go and no one can help me. The pain doesn't feel like a normal stomach ache although I haven't had it in months *knock wood*. It's excruciating, but goes away once I did my business.

Everytime not matter how long it lasts or how minor it is worry about appendicitis all the time when that happens

I find my anxiety increases when I don't feel well. I guess the body is too busy dealing with the stomach ache to keep the anxiety at bay.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one. I thought it was strange as an adult to get upset over a stomach ache, but the panic attack just comes on and there's nothing I can do until it subsides. My body goes into panic mode without me. That's how I feel. I have no control.
