    DARE method

Not sure if we are allowed to talk about this on the forum, but has anyone used the DARE method to address their anxiety?

I had never heard of it until just now when I googled it. The reviews on Amazon appear to be good, so maybe it is worth a try.

I have just started it, thank you for the suggestion! I'm only on page 6/7 but it seems as if it could be helpful.

Aww, I'm pleased to have helped. Did you download the free audio that comes with the book?

I've only read the 'sample' from Amazon on my iPad (kindle app). I'm going to sign up to the kindle service and download it, if the audio is available I will

I bought it and read a bit. Sounds a bit too easy (as in too good to be true). I'm not dismissing though since I didn't actually try it.

My therapy started so I didn't look into it further.

Interested to hear if anyone has any success with it though

    Re: DARE method

Hi Mojo! I hadn't heard of it, but I googled it and decided to download it and the free Audios. I figured it couldn't hurt. I went and did a walk on the treadmill at home (because one of my fears is fainting/seizure while I'm alone and I listened to the audio while I was walking. I found it very motivating and it made sense. I have read books with similar theories (Claire Weekes), but just from listening to the audio I felt different about it.

JS1803 DARE stands for Defuse, Allow, Run Toward Engage.

For anyone reading it, how did you find it?

Thanks Mojo for putting me onto this book!
